About GoGabber

GoGabber is operated by Lesley Eadie and provides in-person cultural events and English language programmes for international professionals based in Scotland. You can contact us at info@gogabber.co.uk.

1. Free Events: A Taste of Scottish Culture

Registration
Places at GoGabber free events are limited. Registering for a place does not guarantee entry if the event reaches capacity before your registration is confirmed.

Cancellation by you
If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing info@gogabber.co.uk so we can offer your place to someone else.

Cancellation by GoGabber
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or reschedule an event, we will notify all registered attendees by email as soon as possible.

Eligibility
Our free events are designed specifically for international professionals who have moved to Scotland within the last 12–18 months and speak English as an additional language. We reserve the right to decline registrations that fall outside this criteria.

Photography
GoGabber may take photographs at events for use on our website and social media. If you do not wish to be photographed please let us know on the night.

2. Paid Programme: English for Work and Life in Scotland

Booking
A place on the 6-week programme is confirmed once payment has been received in full. We will send you a payment link after an initial conversation to confirm the programme is the right fit for you.

Price
The current beta price is £295 per person. All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

Cancellation by you

  • More than 14 days before the programme starts: full refund

  • 7–14 days before the programme starts: 50% refund

  • Less than 7 days before the programme starts: no refund

If you are unable to continue the programme once it has started, we will consider requests for partial refunds on a case by case basis. Please contact us at info@gogabber.co.uk.

Cancellation by GoGabber
If GoGabber needs to cancel the programme before it begins, you will receive a full refund. If the programme is cancelled mid-way through due to circumstances outside our control, we will offer a pro-rata refund for sessions not yet delivered.

What is included

  • 4 x 90-minute live online group sessions via Zoom

  • 2 in-person group sessions in Glasgow

  • Weekly module materials including audio, video and practical exercises

  • Access to a private alumni group

  • Small group sizes to ensure personalised support

What is not included
Travel to and from in-person sessions is not included. Participants are responsible for their own travel costs.

Eligibility
This programme is designed for people who already have functional English but want support using it in real situations in Scotland. It is not suitable for complete beginners.

3. Data and Privacy

We collect and store your personal data in accordance with our GDPR Privacy Notice. By registering for any GoGabber event or programme you agree to us contacting you with relevant information about your booking. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Behaviour

GoGabber events and programmes are designed to be welcoming, inclusive and supportive. We reserve the right to remove anyone from an event or programme whose behaviour is disruptive or makes other participants uncomfortable, without refund.

5. Limitation of Liability

GoGabber is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your participation in our events or programmes beyond the amount paid for that event or programme.

6. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website.
