About GoGabber

Built for people new to Scotland

I help international professionals in Scotland understand local communication, feel more comfortable in real conversations and take part more confidently at work and in everyday life.

Before starting GoGabber, I spent 17 years in international business, including global roles connected to Scotland’s whisky industry at Pernod Ricard, Edrington and International Beverage.

Working across cultures showed me that speaking good English is only part of communication. Understanding how people actually speak, build relationships, and navigate everyday conversations matters just as much.

Why Scotland?

The GoGabber story

Scotland has its own rhythm of communication. You hear different accents, local expressions, humour, fast speech and ways of speaking that rarely appear in traditional English courses.

GoGabber comes from “to gab”, meaning to talk freely and naturally. That idea sits behind everything I create.

The focus is not endless grammar practice. It is understanding the English you actually hear, becoming more comfortable in real conversations and feeling more able to be yourself when you speak.

What changes for people

I’ve noticed positive changes in both my confidence and the way I communicate. I feel more comfortable expressing my ideas at work and in everyday situations. It has also helped me understand different speaking styles, which is incredibly useful in both professional and social settings.
